Decorate the bedroom in red during the early years of marriage. If red is found to be too strong use pink or peach. White is a good colour for bedsheets, but do not use blue sheets. Blue carpets and wallpaper are fine.

Never put live plants and flowers in the bedroom.

Paintings hung in the rooms of married couples should preferably feature children and ripe fruits signifying the happy result of their pairing.

Avoid anything that suggests water. Do not have an aquarium or basin in your bedroom. It causes misunderstandings and sleepless nights. A flask or glass of water is fine but not a painting of a lake!
