Vastu Shastra and Feng Shui both are old sciences of India and China to coordinate between buildings or shape of land, proportions and direction with the environment of their surroundings. Vastu affects houses, shops, factories, schools, hospitals, dharamshalas, public offices, religious places, rivers, crematoria, casinos, bars, brothels etc. and even roads, squares, three roads, streets, towns, cities, i.e. everyplace on earth equally.

These days when somebody constructs his house he takes utmost care to decorate its outer and inner sides. He also takes care to get maximum comforts in the house, but he never seriously thinks whether his new house will provide him happiness, prosperity, fame, health and peace or not. On the other hand, there are examples of people who had humble beginnings, got success rapidly, increased their business manifold, became rich and lived a happy and prosperous life.

If a hut is constructed as per Vaastu then the residents do not face much trouble for their daily needs. The family progresses and gradually becomes prosperous. Opposite to this if a bungalow is not constructed as per Vastu the residents of the same have to struggle even for daily needs, no matter how rich they are. They gradually lose their social status and prosperity. Their lives become miserable due to continuous physical, mental and financial problems. There are certain “Vastu-defects”, which are to be eradicated immediately as they start affecting very soon.

While applying Vaastu the importance is given to the house in which you live no matter whether you are an owner or a tenant or even it could be a temporary or permanent place ot your stay. Vaastu is applicable everywhere. Suppose you are sailing in a boat and there is a hole at the bottom of the same; now it is almost certain that you will be drown but the fact that the boat owner is somebody else and you only boarded it to cross the river does not change its result.

The Vastu consultant has to be especially sensitive towards two things- first, the needs of those living in the premises and second, the requirement of the same premises. It is because the house is for those who live in. An able Vaastu consultant is one who coordinates between the Vastu principles and available resources of a premises.
