There are various points and effective remedies to remove Vastu defects of any building in the Indian Vastu shastra. Most of these remedies require demolition of certain construction and then new construction as per Vastu. For example a toilet in the north-east zone is inauspicious as per Vaastu. Hence it is removed from there and constructed at some other appropriate place. If bore well or other underground water source is not in the north-east zone then it is fully closed and constructed in the north-east zone.

Chinese Vastu shastra- Feng Shui- says that if there is a problem there is a remedy. Feng Shui uses some external and internal remedies to remove some small Vastu defects. The following list gives an idea about the things used to remove Vastu defects by Feng Shui.
